 ”Think Globally Act Locally”

I have just finished an advanced diploma in geographic information system (ADGIS) from Selkirk College, Castlegar, Canada.

Before I moved to Canada, I worked Multi-Stakeholder Forestry Program (MSFP) as a climate change and forest expert, which was run by the Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation, Government of Nepal.

I completed my master’s degree in Watershed Management in 2007 from the Institute of Forestry, Nepal. During my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, I had the opportunity to expose myself to the field of water and climate change research. I am well trained in both qualitative and quantitative methods in research in both of my bachelor’s and master’s degrees as well as in my professional job. I have a good survey and field data collection experience for further research.

Nowadays, I can't imagine anything without a virtual image on my cell phone or any electronic gadget. It is true that GIS technology overcomes the other research tools and make the smaller to the world. Besides, everybody has a small world in their pocket, and they can move wherever they want.  For this reason, it led me to a path and encouraged me to do advanced Geographic Information System (GIS) course.
